hi Meenakshi, welcome
It generally takes around 3 weeks, to get the confirmation letter from the institute. If your is taking longer than that, better give the concerned authority a call. You can take your reg. number from them and can apply for study material rather than waiting for the letter and then sending the study material request form. |

Hi,
As I want to appear for the Nov 2010 exam, how should I proceed? Should I send the membership application along with the DD of INR 1000/- first and then after it gets confirmed, the application for the study material? |

Hi Nehal,
Here is the eligibility criteria for becoming a member of institute of actuaries.
http://www.actuariesindia.org/The%20Actuarial%20Profession/Eligibility.htm
In case you have further queries for the eligibility I would recommend you to directly contact them and clear your doubts.
And for the exams they are difficult but if you are serious and dedicated then you can do it. And one thing difficult things have always have god returns so be firm if you want to do it.
In case you require any help on this you can contact me on jimitshah1986@gmail.com
Hope this helps.
